Rest of the World $4.30

A 10c increase for Aussies and a 20c increase for the rest of you..............that wasn't too painful now was it?

my little cub scout..

I'm finally able to share my layout using the fabulous Scouts Honour kit.. it provided me with the perfect motivation to go and scrap one of my daughter's cub scout pics that I'd been putting off for far too long....

I love anything to do with toadstools..so made a feature of the s'hroom notepaper on the page, along with the cool scout merit badges!

I've also used some of the sweet flower trim, forest fruits button mix and cut out a girl from the vintage brownie bookpaper..

well, that's it from me for now.. I hope you're enjoying creating with your kit as much as I have been..Don't forget to share if you are!

Bye for now, Gina xox

The adventure story....

Book. I made this little book using the entire "Scout's Honour" kit. I also pulled out my water colours and had a play with them using a mix of colour combo's a little different than I am used too. Lime green and orange feature a lot in this book along with some qtea goodies from previous kits.
Along with all of these feature pages it is also jam packed with lined and blank pages to add lots of photos and journaling.

I loved everything about this kit and I plan on waiting until summer comes to fill it up with all our family adventures camping, fishing etc. Also my girls are joining the girl guides shortly and it would be perfect to document their time there.

I am going to miss logging into Qtea and sharing my projects with you all but my 6 months as a creative team member is up and you will soon be seeing some new faces and new projects that I am sure will inspire us all with our Qtea kits ;)

I want to thank Jodi "Thank you Jodi" for having me on the team along with Sharmaine, Gina and Merdrey. I have loved every minute of it and of course I will continue to love my Qtea kits as well.

Take care
Love Belinda xxx

Toot Toot

All aboard!!
The Scouts Honour kit is selling and it’s full of delightful goodies.

Here is something I made with just a few of the goodies

100_2127

Here in Tasmania we have just had our school holidays and we went to visit Grandma in Ballarat. While there she treated us to a trip on the Maldon to Castlemaine train. It’s run by volunteers and we all had a wonderful time.
In my kit there was a travel merit badge with a train track, PERFECT!

Can you spy the mushroom paper?? That is actually the inside of the Kikki-K envelope that is in the kit (I swoon at anything Kikki-K). One of the things I love about QTea kits is looking at it’s contents and finding different ways of using them. I could have used the envelope as it was but instead I pulled it apart and used just a section.
Another thing that I used a little differently was the  ric rac.
I cut it up and used it to frame my photo.

Can’t wait to see what others make with the kit and what fabulous ways the kit contents get used. Make sure you add your creations to the Flickr group so you can inspire others to create :)
Right, Dib Dib Dib Dob Dob Dob and I am outta here ;)

animal cards :)

Happy Sunday all, I thought it was about time I made some more kid's birthday cards so here are a couple I made this week using the cute little animals from the circus writing paper found in The Greatest SHow on Earth Kit

All I've done is hand cut the animals and a few stars and adhered over some scraps of patterned paper

On the monkey card, I incorporated the stripy trim from the writing paper and used between patterned papers..

..and on this card I've put the stripy trim randomly on the pattern papers to pick up the colours in the animals..

So have fun with your Qtea kit leftovers and consider making some cards..we'd love to see them in Flickr gallery :)

Do you want to be on the team?

It’s that time of year again; it is time to bid a fond farewell to our current creative team – Sharmaine, Merdrey, Gina and Belinda!
And it is time to welcome some new creative blood into the QTea family,
I am on the look out for Creative Team Members for July 2010 to December 2010.

How do you can apply:

Expressions of interest are sought for the Q Tea creative; there are FOUR vacant positions and the role will be from July 2010 to December 2010.

What’s the deal?

In exchange for one monthly kit, team members will create:

* Two items for the Q Tea gallery. Ideally a mix of both off-the-page and layouts, but with the balance leaning toward more layouts. Each project would need to use at least 2 items from the kit, with the rest of the projects using your own stash. You are also welcome to use the projects you create for Q Tea to enter other challenges or to combine with other design team commitments.
* During the 6months provide ONE step-by-step instructional on how you completed a project, layout or card using Q Tea products.
* I would also like you to be an ambassador for Q Tea by posting about your work on your blog and/or other forum’s (where permitted).
* Regularly post on the Qtea kits blog (you will be given access) about your creative process and/or your current work for Qtea!

Creative Team Members may also be given any add-on kits or mini project kits Q Tea releases! {depending on number of editions released}

How to apply?

To express interest in being part of Q Tea's creative team, please email qteakits@gmail.com, with Creative Team Application in the subject box and answer the following questions:

# A little bit about yourself, how long you have been scrapping and your creative influences?
# Your FIVE favourite movies?
# FIVE words that best describe your scrapping style?
# I {heart} Qtea kits because………………………….?
# If I created a Qtea kit, the theme would be …………?

You will also need to provide:
* Links to any online galleries or blogs, and an example of both a layout and an off-the-page (canvas, mini-album, altered item, etc) project. Ideally the examples would show how you like to use non-traditional products, such as those in the Q Tea kits. Please keep the file sizes small for ease of viewing.
* A recent photo of you!
* A recent photo of your creative space (and yes MESS is allowed)
* A link to your blog! (if you have one)

Applications close – Saturday 19th June 2010.

Successful applicants will be notified by Monday 21st June 2010, your first kit will be posted out not long after that!

Current Creative Team members and former Creative Team members are more than welcome to apply.

Applications are open to both Australian and International peeps!

Acrobats in the house!

*hees* Yes my niece and nephews are acrobats, they do such funny 'stunts' that leaves us laughing all the time! hmm..maybe they should be clowns instead!! I love how the playing cards i got from The Greatest Show On Earth matched Gideon and Rebecca!
