Let The Wild Rumpus Start

Hi Sharmaine here
Let the wild rumpus start!
That’s what I thought when I pulled open the “Where the WIld Things Are” kit
Such wonderful things that envelope contained
The first thing I grabbed, to look at, was the map paper
I LOVE IT and wish I had more
For my first page I took that paper and I burnt it
YES I DID!
I burnt around the edges, just like Belinda did (see post below) seems great minds think alike lol

I then scrunched it, which I then learnt I probably shouldn’t have because it lost the ash edge which looked cool.

The second thing I spied and loved was the very cool magnifying glasses.
I cut out the writing paper one and used it for my journal spot.

and the plastic magnifying glass I stitched onto my page to highlight the back of the hero card (I actually cut out the quote and cut off the front so I can use them on something else)

I also used the airmail envelope and it all went together to make this

The buttons are from Such Sweet Tierney, the lettering from Sassafras Lass and the cardstock has the negative print from piece of Basic Grey doily paper, that I used a mask. I had the cardstock tucked away waiting to be used.

One of the quotes from the movie is when Max sees the giant dog in the dessert and asks “What’s that?” Carol replies “Oh, it's that dog. Don't feed it, he'll just follow you around.”
So I thought I would scrap this page of my Husband Dave from the early 1980’s, he and his brother are painting a dog kennel

Together with the Sassafras Lass paper and October Afternoon/Carolee’s alpha stickers I used the book page (mine was from Swiss Family Robinson), the Nut and Bee notepaper, the Wild Things Are Inch image, a tea card (you can see the back of it peeking out above the photo), a button and the leaf sticky note (which I stitch over where the vines were)

Seems that Belinda and I also thought along the same lines when it came to using our sewing machines lol

The dog sticker is from Studio Calico and I thought it fitted beautifully :)

and I will leave you with another quote from the movie
”Happiness isn't always the best way to be happy.”
