Clowning around

Hello says the little clown as he pops up from his elephant dung paper cone ;)
I made this little clown pop up puppet from "The greatest show on earth" kit. Isn't he cute? well actually I am not that keen on clowns but my girls like him lol

I used the little plastic clown head, elephant dung paper, aqua feather, bead and sequin mix and the cute circus fabric. I added fiber for hair, wooden clown, ric rac, confetti dots, extra feathers and a skewer for the stick.
He was pretty quick and easy to make all held together with hot glue. A fun project for kids to help with (and play with)

Take care

Monkey business

Hi everyone I am here to share a page I made using "The greatest show on earth" kit. It is such a fun and colourful kit filled with circus fun. This page is documenting my daughter who is more akin to a climbing monkey than a little girl ;)

Not a good clear picture sorry.

I used circus mini stickers, aqua feather, sequin and bead mix, crazy 8's card, mini playing card, bus ticket, red cord and circus pictures paper.
I loved the little monkeys I cut from the circus paper so cute.

I will be back soon to share a funky clown puppet I made with the clown head, dung paper and fabric.

Take care

Anyone for cake?

Gosh..how much fun is this Greatest Show on Earth kit? I finally sat down to play
with my kit today and scrapped my teen's birthday cake.. I think my favourite
would have to be the Crazy 8's cards..my girls have a set of these cards
and play often, so it made it extra special :)

I've also used the orange ric rac, mini playing card, mini circus stickers
and cut out one of the monkeys from the circus writing paper to sit up
on the banner..

Well there's still oodles of goodies left over..so I'll be back to share (as soon as we get
back from our little trip :) bye for now, Gina x

Hey Mr Postman!

Savvy QTea-ers will notice this month that the Mr Clown head is missing from your QTea kits - fear not gorgeous peeps, Mr Clown is presently speeding his way to you via a secret padded pouch!

I had a few problems with Australia Post this month and when the creative team girls received their kits, some of the Mr Clown Head's where crushed!

So I elected to post him separately AND whilst I was at it, I have added a little gift for all of you who brought a May QTea kit!

Just spreading the {love} around this month!

From June onwards ALL QTea kits will now be posted in these SUPER tough post envelopes.......some of my customers have had H-U-G-E trouble with their local postman folding and/or stuffing their QTea kits into their post boxes so {hopefully} this will help to eliminate/minimise this problem!

The bonus???? - all at NO extra cost to my lovely customers, now that is good news!

We have a WINNER!!!

Comment #8 which was left by Belinda - Belinda your gorgeous friend Veronika is the winner of our QTea Newbie Starter Kit!!
Thank you so much to all those who entered, I {loved} reading about the gorgeous people you all care about and I really wished I could give a starter kit to them all!

A Sprinkling of Scrapping

That seems like a good description of how much I have done recently!
A sprinkling
But when I found “The Greatest Show On Earth” kit in my mailbox I knew that sprinkling was about to spill over into something good
And that something started with this

100_1737

I pulled out my circle punches and got busy with quite a few things in the kit

100_1740

Loved the twinkling sequin middles that filled the bottom of my sequin bag
Had to add their sparkly goodness to the photo as well as the page :)

I just loved the crazy eights cards

100_1739

and oh how I wish for another of those soda labels! I just had to cut into mine and use it as the title :)

100_1742

Hoping to find some more time to tackle some more of the kit as my mind has a million possibilities for it! Imagine an altered box in the shape of a big top. A shadow box full of circus themed goodness. Birthday cards galore. A mini book about a trip to the zoo… oh my mind is overloaded and there seems to be no time to empty it of all the crafty goodness. Taking a deep breath, using what time I have and will hopefully be back soon with what filtered out of my head, through my fingers and onto my scrap table :)

Lots to share!

i'm late...so late! It has been a busy busy month and i saved the best for last =) I was busy creating using the March kit (Where the wild things are) and the lovely lovely April kit (A Stitch in time)...and here's what i did =)

Lifetime Journey (using Where the wild things are)
Lifetime Journey

i cut the fabric into circles to line the edges of the layout and i extremely love the map paper!!

Lifetime Journey

Going Japanese (using A stitch in time)
Going Japanese

I really love anything sewing related like dress patterns and instructions in the A Stitch In Time kit!! When i first saw the 'spools' of thread...i knew i had to use them as they are..

Going Japanese

Is the picture of the iron cute? I like it!

Going Japanese

i also like to ruffle up the dress patterns! What i did was to first put glue on the base paper...crumple the dress pattern and stick them on..

Going Japanese

This layout documents what i was wearing on my birthday! =) A Japanese looking outfit! The next project is an album, which records my birthday celebrations with family and friends...also using the April Kit, A Stitch in Time!

M turns 29 (using A Stitch in Time)
M turns 29

Really happy with the alphabet 'M'!! To embellish further, i layered the alpha on the white plastic that came with the kit, as well as the Buzz and Bloom chipboard! Used the doily as a border ruffle..

M turns 29

on this second page above, the lovely doily takes centrestage as the background!

M turns 29

Do fray the cross stitch cloth for more interest!

M turns 29

The above background is actually the mounting piece where the Japanese fabrics were attached to!

M turns 29

My favourite piece from the kit!! The paperdoll dress!

M turns 29

Once again, the dress pattern was crumpled and glued as a background!

M turns 29

The above transparency page uses the Elle Studio tags as well as the dress pattern. Doesn't it look like a fabric ribbon ruffle? Try it!

M turns 29

Here the dress pattern is used as a photo mat!

M turns 29

Another background =)

M turns 29

Don't waste that small piece of doily...mix it with another piece of paper to create a fun romantic background!

M turns 29

here..the red cross stitch paper pattern is used as a background!

M turns 29

love that hearts border paper too!!

Thanks for looking and i hope this give you lots of ideas to use your Qtea kits! Don't be afraid to mix and match with tradition scrapbooking supplies for that added interest!! Can wait to receive May's The Greatest Show on Earth kit...i already have the photos in mind for that!!! Have you ordered yours??

hugs. Merdrey
